Original Intent....

Well, the original intent of this blog was to share what I learned in my Apologetics course that I took a year and a half ago, but that didn't really pan out. The course did not cover the things I had hoped it would, so I didn't put much here, and it kind of fell by the wayside.

Lately several topics that would fall into the category of this blog have been raised multiple times, and I've found myself researching them and, as I have the time and brain power to do so, I will post things here.

We are instructed in 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect". I am the first to admit I have a hard time with the gentleness part (my wife will back me up on that). I don't mean to be harsh, but sometimes it comes out that way due to frustration or whatever. My church highlighted the importance of Grace as well as Truth during some recent sermons on Hot Topics.

These have been really great sermons, and they highlight the importance of both GRACE and TRUTH when dealing with such topics.

So, I'm going to explore various topics on this blog, and I'm going to try to do it with grace, truth, gentleness and respect. All topics may not be directly related to apologetics, but many will be.You are welcome to comment and discuss, but I ask that it is kept civil and there is no unnecessary profanity (it's pretty rare that profanity is necessary!). You can also send me a request to discuss a specific topic.
